To Junior Camp and Back
Finally found some time to sit down and blog.
As my title suggested, I been to Junior Camp 2005 and made it back.
Lets see....
When I was asked to be come a Group Leader in the camp,
I was some what uncomfortable.
I mean, I don't even think I am ready to lead...
much less spiritually right to lead.
Its better for me to be in games.
After much thought, I decided not to protest the idea.
But take it as it come.
Praying real hard that by God's grace,
I will be able to lead.
In-deed, God was really graceful,
He not only provided 2 very able assistant leaders, M.L and W.W ....
but also provided one of the better behave groups for me.
The camp was ok,
there were things which I think I could have done better.
But thank God despite my lack of preparation,
Still manage to make it through by God's grace.
I was really touch that my group,
That they actually woke up at 4am in the morning to
write up a card for us (My two AL and Me).
Being group leader first time, it was certainly memorable.
Although I would have much like to learn many personal lesson,
one lesson that I did pick up was that,
all of us were in this relay race of faith,
That God has already plan for us,
all that is left for us to do is to run it focusly and not lose faith over time.
Something which I think I lack as the years go by.
As someone had shared,
Our Christian life should be upwards all the way,
and it shouldn't be like a stock market having
high points and low points over the same period of time.
It shouldn't be a case of go camp, Spiritual battery recharge,
but only to lose it over time.
It instead should be go camp year after year,
but building on the faith that was there the previous year.
Mental note to self that....
Even having faith of the size of a mustard seed,
It could move mountians. (Matt 17:20)
Anyway, I found out how stressful it is being first time writting cards to the campers.
But I found that all the afford put in the group and camp, is all worth it.
As I gain some valueable lesson.
I am really glad that I went for it.
Only regrets was that I didn't bring a camera.
Hopefully I will be back in time for next year junior camp.
Pray that by then I would be much more prepared then this years camp.
To Everyone out there,
Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas.
