Loyalty??

Loyalty....
What does it mean??

It derived from the word loyal,
Which according to the cambridge dictionary means:

Firm and not changing in your friendship with or the support for a person or an organization or in your belief in your principles.

Basically it means being faithful.

Recently an event made me wonder if loyalty really counts...??
Just imagine after 16years, rain or shine, my friend has been loyal to this company.
But 16 years later, the company decided that it has enough people to run the programme and decided that my friend will stop doing what his doing for a term (just for this term and next term which is 3 months later... and it will be a case of pending for next term).

The thing about this is that the company or rather the people in-charge of the programme, didn't event bother to call him up to inform him of their decision.
I mean just imagine, the term is starting and yet... they didn't call him, in the end he has to call up and ask if his involve in the programme.
They just told him nope... they have enough people and thats that.

Just because of the influx of new people in the programme, they decided not to use him at all.
Give his track record, he could have easily do what his doing outside but he stick with the organization through out.
They event have the cheek to ask him to be on stand-by, just in case someone can't make it during this three months programme and he will take over from whoever for that lesson.

Isn't it sad that at the end of 16 years of loyalty, he get this kind of attitude from the organization?

I guess at the end of the day loyalties count for nothing.
Everyone changes....
All except one... who is HE....

SO I guess loyalty is best place in GOD, oneself and oneself's belief....
and maybe best friends......
