Penny Of my Thoughts
Wanted to blog sometime back, but was either too lazy or my mind just went blank. So now that I am in a mood to blog and also partially because I can't sleep (mind you it's almost 4am), I shall blog.
I was packing my room, in preparation of me leaving this coming friday (3rd Feb). I discover many things that was hidden in the forgotten coners of my room. I found pictures and also "neoprints" that was taken long time ago, carer and carriee notes (from way back to many many junior camps back), Birthday cards, "end" of camp cards, encouraging book marks given to me by people who cared, Junior camp booklets from year 1995 to 2005 (except year 2002 and 2003, of which 2002 booklet was missing) and even letters from my pen-pals.
It all just bring back the many many happy momments, the fun, the carefreeness, the dumb things that I did, back into my memory. Momments which I think will be remember and cherish for the rest of my life or at least when I look at these items. Even in the recent events, when Greg, daryl and me met up, we just have a good laugh of the good old days in Junior camps and the times we spent together.
I guess this just serve as a reminder that GOD has made all things beautiful.
As I flip through the Camp booklets, there's a constant reminder that GOD is always there, HE is being faithful and graceful always. That we love HIM, because he first love us. There were also lesson which I learnt back then that even GOD is GOD, the love HE have for us is enough to sent Christ to die for us and that the fact that Christ Wept just reminded me that HE felt what all other human felt. The "been there done that" kind of signal? Letting me know that He was once Human, going through what all human felt, even though He is the son of GOD when He could have chose not to, Ain't he marvelous!!!!
He has been graceful enough to me, If most of you have known, my "O" level results were mostly filled with C6, D7, E8 and even F9, He opened a way for me to further my studies, getting me a place in the University, althought I have to do a foundation year first, before going to the University, I am throughly grateful.
Many people ask how am I feeling about going there??
I just told them that I am in a 3 in 1 feeling.
1) Excited
2) Worried
3) Sad
Excited because I get to see and venture into a totally different place from Singapore.
Worried that I am not able to get a hand at things over there and the familiarity of things over there.
Sad becuase most of my friends are here.
But then considering that I got a place there is like a miracle, so I shall just leave it in HIS hand and of cause I will try my very best to do my part.
On another note,
I missed my National Service time, granted that there were lots of dumb duties, crazy deployment (at least to me), I guess I really enjoyed it alot ( The bossing around, you are the authority and also the fun times I had with my colleauges), every now and then when I passby Toa Payoh, I can't help but wonder, what if I sign on???
I got another two commander's award, which makes the total award I got is four (excluding the award I got for top 10% (which is like top 3) of best National serviceman in the division and also I am speculating that there is 1 more commander's award).
People ask me questions like these,
1) So get these awards got money??
2) You also never sign on, get so many award for what??
3) Is there any use for this award??
I would say that althought it seems much like a pretty useless piece of paper, its just something that tells me that I have a job done well and the effort was being recognized.
I just thrives on the recognition which in turn tells me that I have been successful.
It's something like teaching swimming, when one who doesn't know how to swim comes to you, at the end of 1 year, the kind of feeling you get when you see him/her swimming effortlessly, is beyond words to describe.
I guess thats the feeling of success I have thus far, considering I am "half pail full of water" in almost everything. I kinda enjoy this feel.
The other thing I enjoy is being around kids. Their laughter, innocence and their ever trusting way just brighten my day. Not to mention the way they try to get out of trouble.
Its just another feeling when the kids see you and they come running after you, knowing that they enjoy your presence and you in theirs. Its just a very pure kind of enjoyment.
:)
Guess I shall go lie on my bed now and just think of this happiness.....
Its already 4.45am....
Oh... before I forget, just to let you guys know that.....
I will be flying on 3rd feb at 9.10pm, the flight number is QF52, at terminal 1.
Just in case you guys want to sent me off (get rid of me from singapore... haha) I will be at the airport at about 6.30pm or 7pm. :)
Ciaoz~!
